Transfer or Disconnect Service
New members interested in getting a meter set within the Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative service area must make that request in person at the co-op office in Rainsville.
The required information needed is a photo identification card, social security number, meter number and billing address for the location.
Existing members may call the co-op office to request a transfer of service. Information on file must be verified and member must have the meter number and billing address for the new location.
Members may call the co-op office to request a disconnection of service. Information on file must be verified and a final billing address must be given at the time of the request.
No requests for electricity transfers or disconnects are taken through the web site at this time. As always, call the co-op office for more information.
